London Buchanan
As a self-taught Afro-Latina artist, my work centers on the complex emotions and lived experiences of people of color and queer communities. I use my art to confront themes of microaggressions, mental health, social justice, racism, colorism, and politics, to translate these collective struggles into visual elements that challenge comfort and instead invite reflection .
I use my craft to amplify voices that are often overlooked and to reframe the moments that society tends to excuse or ignore, revealing them as opportunities for growth and understanding. Through acrylic and watercolor paintings, illustration, mixed media, and digital design, I aim to create spaces of healing, representation, and empowerment.
Each piece serves as a celebration of resilience, visibility, and joy. My work exists at the intersection of art and activism—driven by a commitment to make the unseen visible and to honor stories that demand to be felt.
